School Cents: Celebrating 10 Years!
By shopping at Lakewood, Los Cerritos and Stonewood Centers you can help local participating schools receive a share of $50,000! Schools earn points per each dollar spent at the stores, restaurants, kiosks and movie theaters at any of the three centers! Bring your original receipts dated between September 15, 2011 and May 15, 2012 to Guest Services at any of the centers to start earning points!

Lakewood Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels of Lakewood is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization dedicated to providing nourishing food to home bound residents living in Lakewood, California and portions of Long Beach and Hawaiian Gardens. Many clients are home bound due to illness, age or disability; and the volunteer delivering meals is often the only friendly, caring face they see all day. If a client is ill or hurt, or if the volunteer is unable to get a response at the door, help is immediately called. Lakewood Center Management Team is proud to volunteer for Lakewood Meals on Wheels on a monthly basis.

Sheriff's Community Safety Center
The Sheriff Community Safety Center is located in the Target wing of Lakewood Center & it has many things to offer the residents of Lakewood. There are special services conveniently available at the Safety Center such as:Personal Safety Classes for kids and adults.

• Community Information-Bicycle Licensing
• Neighborhood Watch-Bicycle Training
• and much more!

 

Come visit the Safety Center and speak to their staff with any questions. Also, the safety center has a community room that is available for use for groups and meetings. The use of the room is by scheduled appointment only and the cost is free.

Contribution Requests
Each year, Lakewood Center will contribute a preset amount of funds in the form of Gift Cards, merchandise, and use of property to a diverse group of organizations. Hundreds of requests are anticipated each year. Donation recipients may include civil organizations' education programs, food banks, foundations, hospitals and health-care organizations, youth programs, performing arts and museums, and many more. Each request is reviewed carefully, however, not all requests can be granted.
