Lakewood Center, in partnership with Los Cerritos and Stonewood Centers, is proud to be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the School Cents Program. At the end of the 2012 school year a total of $500,000 will have been awarded to well-deserved schools over the past 10 years.

How You Can Help Local Schools
It's easy to help 100 local schools win a share of $50,000. Just shop and log receipts from any of Lakewood, Los Cerritos and Stonewood Centers stores and restaurants between September 15, 2011 and May 15, 2012. Your school of choice earns five points per dollar spent, with lots of additional bonus points opportunities (2 points for Lakewood Costco). Receipts can be logged at Guest Services anytime during the program. Remember to tell your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers to log their receipts. Why Should I Participate?
Free money for local schools! Everyone has shopping to do. Why not help a school at the same time? Every participating school earns a prize, but how much is based on the total accumulated points earned by each school. So even the soda or latte receipt adds up! Logging receipts is easy to do – the Guest Services staff will note your receipt total, stamp the receipt and hand it right back to you. Many schools also collect their parents' receipts and log for them – just check with your school office. The shopping centers are giving away $50,000 in gift cards this year to 100 participating schools.

More About School Cents
Lakewood, Los Cerritos and Stonewood Centers have contributed $450,000 to local schools through the School Cents program, which began in the 2002-2003 school year. School Cents will add another $50,000 this year to support school and classroom projects.
