Looking for opportunities to meet other moms and have some fun?
Lakewood MOMS is a local chapter of an international non-profit organization for at-home mothers. Our chapter serves the cities of Lakewood and Cerritos, and includes mothers of all ages, as well as those working outside of the home. We provide a great way to make friends and have fun for both moms and kids. Our monthly calendar is jam-packed with exciting activities such as play groups, park days, field trips, creative crafts, mom's night out, book and cooking clubs, and family days.

It is called OASIS, an independent nonprofit dedicated to providing challenging educational programs for older adults. For the last 17 years, OASIS, which meets in the basement of the new Macy's building, has provided high quality programs for adults age 50 and over. The Sheriff Community Safety Center is located in the Target wing of Lakewood Center & it has many things to offer the residents of Lakewood. There are special services conveniently available at the Safety Center such as:
-Personal Safety Classes for kids and adults.

-Bicycle Licensing
-Neighborhood Watch
-Bicycle Training
-and much more!
Come visit the Safety Center and speak to their staff with any questions. Also, the safety center has a community room that is available for use for groups and meetings. The use of the room is by scheduled appointment only and the cost is free.
