Lakewood Center is proud to be a community partner. We strive to meet community challenges through a combination of employee volunteerism, financial support, in-kind donations and partnerships with non-profit organizations which have missions consistent with our vision and values.
Meals on Wheels of Lakewood is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization dedicated to providing nourishing food to home bound residents living in Lakewood, California and portions of Long Beach and Hawaiian Gardens. Many clients are home bound due to illness, age or disability; and the volunteer delivering meals is often the only friendly, caring face they see all day. If a client is ill or hurt, or if the volunteer is unable to get a response at the door, help is immediately called. Lakewood Center Management Team is proud to volunteer for Lakewood Meals on Wheels on a monthly basis.

Lakewood Center is proud to partner with local nonprofit TreePeople to create a water-secure and climate-resilient Los Angeles. For 43 years, TreePeople has inspired Angelenos to plant and care for trees, harvest rain to fight drought and transform their homes with climate-appropriate landscapes to keep our cities cool, healthy and to improve local water quality. Visit TreePeople.org to learn more or attend a free workshop.
Each year, Lakewood Center will contribute a preset amount of funds in the form of gift cards, merchandise, and use of property to a diverse group of organizations. Hundreds of requests are anticipated each year. Donation recipients may include civil organizations' education programs, food banks, foundations, hospitals and health-care organizations, youth programs, performing arts and museums, and many more. Each request is reviewed carefully, however, not all requests can be granted.
